This upcoming Monday, our team will be launching a small business marketplace powered by Markdown.com.  This new marketplace will give us all a chance to support and interact with passionate small businesses throughout America. You’ll have the unique opportunity to get to know the business owners, entrepreneurs, families, towns and inspirational stories behind these extraordinary companies. Today, we’d like to introduce you to Chelle Webb, the owner of Bouncing Berry Farms and one of the many small businesses that will make our marketplace truly special.

“I’m a hard worker and I’m incredibly passionate about this business. I’ve found something that incorporates the love of farming, family and friends!”
 
Chelle Webb is a take-charge kind of woman with a work ethic inherited from generations of hard-working Oregon farmers. Chelle’s family has been farming cranberries since 1937, and growing up in a farming family instilled in her a dream to someday have her own farm. Chelle shared that dream with husband Michael, and one evening during one of their many walks along the cranberry bogs, they decided to make the dream a reality.
 
“We moved into a 22-foot trailer for seven years, saved up our money, and hatched our dream of owning our own farmland,” remembers Chelle.  “We built up our farm from scratch and both worked full time jobs.  We also built our farm house by hand along the way.”
 
So how do you go from living in a trailer to starting one of the most renowned berry farms in the South West Region of Oregon?  “My husband walked in after work, and said, ‘What are you doing,’ and I said, I’m starting a new company!”  The result—Bouncing Berry Farms now makes the very best allergy-friendly & gluten-free foods, “100% Purely Naked, Bog Fresh Cranberries!”
